Oh pants... where are you? Do you have any friends and family about? Are you on a married patch?
I do understand, dh went away when ds was 8 days old but that was only for 3 months and ds was my first. I just got myself into a routine asap and tried not to expect too much from myself.

Have a word with SSAFA or NFF (if you are Navy) they may be able to help.

Congrats on the baby by the way

northern ireland, he's based in portsmouth. we were separated when ds was born 3 years ago but i was living with parents, ot everything done for me. this will be 1st time on my own. totally dreading it. have to say, i do find childcare, houserunning etc easier to manage on my own( no interference) but i just remeber how i felt after ds was born, do have family but all work full time.

I totally agree!!! My dh joins his next ship next week after 2 years shore-side... I can't wait

Have a chat with the Naval Families Federation they are fab!

Other than that, all I can suggest is that you get yourself as organised as possible before the due date (lots of meals in the freezer etc) Do you have a cleaner? Perhaps you could budget for having a cleaner come in once a week for the length of the deployment just so that certain jobs are done for you.
Try not to worry too much just yet; people will rally round once dh goes on deployment.

i know, organisation is the key, i usually am really good when im in a routine, but at the min with hormones and exhaustion im finding it really ahrd to settle back into it, its just the thought of being alone esp if i get pnd, which i got with ds1 and lost alot of friends through my behaviour. will def try nff. thanks for that nell12.
