Does your DP's pension status help? We wondered if we went to a broker and showed themn the figures that even if dp signed off tomorrow, he would have an immediate pension that would cover the mortgage costs no matter what, if that would sway things in our favour.

We have just changed ours, they were not concerned about potential unemployment as he s in the4 services. So pension status didn't come up. If you go through a broker they will get you the best deal which may or may not take into account your DP pension status. HTH
