How and where do I convert Afghanis into Sterling?

Just found a wad in a drawer from 5 years ago!
Anyway, they convert to £150 but the post office dont convert them, i dont think my bank will either.

Travel agents ?? They will charge though.

you could try the admin office which is where the boys get their cash before deploying? there's a greater chance that they'll at least recognise them?...

Try Marks and Spencers. They accepted our rupiah from Indonesia even though they don't sell it.

the admin office is the same as the pay office and will be on camp somewhere.
if he doesn't know about them does that make it your pocket money??

DH says ... they have changed the currency in the last couple of years so they may not be valid currency anymore which may be part of your problem...
