I know it's not ideal, but could you not just send your sister the money, and let her order it?

Don't forget that if Amazon are sending something to a BFPO address outside the UK, you can claim your VAT back easy as pie. I LOVE Amazon (DH hates carrying their parcels home but that's another story....)

sunnylabsmum · 08/07/2008 19:14

Ive never managed to get a m & s order to a bfpo address which has really annoyed me as they say that they are BFPO friendly- argh

I recall seeing somewhere that for John lewis you have to deal with the London store direct if you want BFPO but don;t know if it works in your case

Agree about loving amazon and claiming back the VAT is great...also they stock Birkenstocks too!!

Strange about M&S as they manage to send my credit card statement to my BFPO address!

Amazon are great as are Lakeland, and Play.com are OK as well. Land End also delivers BFPO as does Artigiano for clothes and Shipton and Heneage for boots and shoes...they also give a Forces discount which is useful considering the price of the last pair of boots I bought from them.

ellac · 23/07/2008 14:02

next also deliver to bfpo addresses!

traynor · 26/10/2008 20:21

I use M&S all the time to my BFPO address with no probs, I think that when I firdt moved out here I did have to ring them to set it up. Does anyone know how to get a kids bike sent out to BFPO?
(hsmile)

I'd love to know how you do M&S as I have been trying for the past 5 weeks to get an order sent, and I can't get it to work online, despite following the BFPO instructions, neither can the customer services people at the end of the phone.

They say it's a computer problem; I point out credit card bill reaches me; 'aaah, that's a different computer'...would be wouldn't it?

I have had to resort to having mil come out here for Christmas to get my M&S stuff!

RE: John Lewis issue- I emailed customer services on johnlewis.com and they sent me the email of the oxford street store which apparently does overseas shipping to BFPO addresses.
not much help 4 sunnytimes but maybe useful to someone!
Boots will also post to bfpo addresses.

sunnylabsmum · 03/11/2008 09:50

I have heard that with M and S you need to phone up and say put it through the old system as apparantly this will cope with BFPO, however I have yet to put this into action as we have just been back home and blitzed the shops!!
