Hi all.

My husband is leaving after the full 22 years. He isn't retiring fully as he needs a job.

We haven't lived properly together apart from some weekends abs when he has leave at Christmas and Easter.

He's been doing courses from home for 3-4 weeks and then gets about 6 weeks home in the summer but this is forever 😬😬😬

So you had no idea in the first place what it means to live as an armed forces wife in the first place .Explains your fake awkwardness in the first place ,you didn't want to understand .Why bother asking in the first pace when it's clear you weren't bothered in the first place .

I don't understand any of that?

It's a big change, we're less than 2 years from it now and I'll have done almost the full 22 with him (he will have done 23.5 years due to boys time). We have not moved around with him, chose to buy property closer to my family to give the kids more stability and have support available when he was at sea.
You get in to your own routines and they disrupt that but you'll make new routines with him there much more. Fear of the unknown, so many what it's to worry about. I think so long as you both have fair expectations of eachother all will work out.
