dh and i have been together for over seven years and never had valentines day together, what does your husband always miss out on?

neither of us care about valentines day but it has become a bit of a standing joke now about him always been away on this date (sure he has another wife who makes him spend that date with her )

he was in ireland the first year then excercise, belize, bosnia, iraq, iraq, excercise and this year he is going away on the 13th and back on the 15th.

he has missed loads of birthdays and other special occasions but i am wondering if we hold the record for being apart on the same date for 7 years

Well this will be my 4th Mother's day without DH. he reckons it shouldn't matter since I'm not his mum!

nope, we have never, in 9 years spent any of oct or nov together.
But should do this year... am quite excited about it!

In the last 12 years most birthdays, mothers days, anniversaries and one horrible christmas which was DD's 1st (nearly the 2nd one too but he got r&r from Bosnia .

We've just got used to postphoning celebrations. Oh mind you for our tenth wedding anniversary we had a regimental dinner function which apparently I was supposed to be grateful we were having a night out for - LOL - overnight stay at a lovely hotel was hastily arranged for the night before!!

We've been married 11 years this year and I think he's been home for 3 or 4 of my birthdays.

Always home for his though, jammy git!!

Mother's day and my birthday!!!. Afghanistan last year and courses this year. He said to me today about Mother's day, it's ok though because I will be with my mother on mother's day and you will be with your children
