my house will be invaded by workmen for th whole week and i am also getting the outside of my house painted so not only will the workmen be in my house they will be hanging of the outside of it as well [aaaarrrgggghhhh]

kerry we are getting a whole new house, prob is, we have to move out of this one!

And as we are suppose to move in April, but the refurbs are already 6 weeks behind (they only started 12 weeks ago!!!!!) we will probably move in August, just when all the kids are off school and I am at my busiest, with all 7 (CM)

DONT LEAVE THE CUPBOARD DOORS OPEN AT NIGHT, they creep out and multiply

I know when we moved in here 7 yeasr ago (DH is a White Helmet, we have been here forever)

we came from a house that had very little in the way of Kitchen cupboards, and thought OMG, most of my kitchen will be empty, when we moved in.

NOW, cant shut the blardy doors for STUFF!

bedecca · 17/01/2008 11:03

Won't the workmen help you move stuff? I would hope so. It's a PITA, but the new kitchen will be great. And it's a good excuse for a sort out (she says helpfully, trying to be positive...)

After 4 years of very expensive bills and a huge unsightly boiler in my kitchen we've just been told we're having a new heating system put in, with the boiler being moved upstairs into the airing cupboard. Great, except we're moving out and they wanted to do the work in the week before our move and arghhh!

Shoshe - have they actually upgraded some of the old houses at Blandford?! We were there 4 years ago, in Valley Road. Ours hadn't been touched since the 1950's!

shoshe · 17/01/2008 22:38

Drusilla I am in Crossway and am moving into Valley, they should be done by April, but I'm not holding my breathe.

We were here 4 years ago, in fact have been here 7 years.

Drusilla · 18/01/2008 23:50

I must have trudged past your house many a time! Am slightly in shock that they have actually modernised those houses I liked Valley Road - we had lovely brown cows in the field behind us

Drusilla, I bet you did, I am the mad CM with all the kids, (most people 'knew' of me )
