Moan moan - Christmas Duty

PaperPomPom · 25/11/2013 18:52

Just a moan really, as my non-Forces friends don't quite get it. Found out today that DH is on duty on Christmas Day and am furious. Last year he was deployed the week before Christmas for nearly 7 months, and this year they decided today he was on duty. I know there isn't anything we can do, I just wanted a moan to someone who understands that they can, in fact, do that rather than saying "surely they can't do that!"

Boo hoo. Woe is me etc.

My OH is too but will be home for New Year so we will celebrate with our 6 DC then (we aren't allowed his kids for Xmas anyway).

He's just gone back on crew. Not coming home for three weeks and managed a 20 second phone call tonight Hmm.

Good practise for when he goes back to sea.

Ah feels better to have a moan :)

:( you get lots of sympathy from me! It's looking like DH might be on tour next Christmas, which will be baby's first, but at least we've been told of the possibility in plenty of time.

Thanks for making me feel a bit less silly! We've got DH's DC on the weekend after so it doesn't really matter. Ah well, such is life...
