MOD funded fertility treatment

We're currently having problems having a second DC and are under the fertility clinic. We're unlikely to qualify for IVF on the NHS as we already have DD, but someone mentioned that the MOD might pay for it. I've poked around on the system at work (I'm a CS working for MOD), but can't find anything. Has anyone heard of this?

Thanks

LM

AFAIK, MoD don't fund it. There are arrangements to reduce the impact of mobility - time spent on one PCT waiting list can be 'transfered' to new waiting list (else Forces families might never reach the top). Also, the postings plot should be amended to ensure availability of serving partner during the IVF.

You have to fulfill both mobility criteria and NHS ones. There is no treatment beyond what NHS provides, and special arrangements are solely to off-set negative impact of mobility.

meditrina,

That's all I could find too, but this person certainly seemed to think there was a possibility. I'll ask my mil GP when I see her next.
