Could anybody give me some advice? DH is about to start a new job in Portsmouth and would welcome any thoughts on the nicest places to apply for MQs. Thank you.

How many DC do you have, if any? Where will he be working?

Ratings or Officers?

Didn't give much info did I? We have a 10 year old son and 2 older children at Uni. We are after Officers' quarters.

Is he Portsmouth or Gosport based?
You could ask for Alverstoke in Gosport - lovely village like atmosphere and if he is the sort to cycle to work he can cycle to the ferry to go over to Portsmouth
If not the old quarters in Hillhead are nice, big as well - new ones are very pokey there but it's a lovely place - he would have to drive to Portsmouth daily
Not sure about the ones Pompey side you need to ask Talcandturnips Wink

There are newish build (about 6 years old) houses at Daedalus in lee on Solent. They are modern and large and there are plenty empty at the mo. the drive around to Portsmouth can be slow in rush hour though. Hope that helps!
