to thaw or not to thaw ?

OK - so I have recently had a stab at domesticity and cooked some things in bulk and popped said things in the freezer.
(and felt just a little bit smug at this point)

BUT - now I've realised that I have no idea on whether I have to thaw food completely before re-heating or if I can cook from frozen. I'm scuppered !!

Can I bung homemade chicken nuggets in from frozen ? Pre-made Pasta/Sausage/Tomatoey dish ?
Are there some hard and fast rules I need to know before I set about poisoning my family?

Please advise this wannabe domestic godess failure !

Generally I'd say thaw them out - tend to get any frozen blocks the night before - slow defrost is better. Re-heating is quicker. Some food OK from frozen, quite often do fish straight into oven so stuff like your nuggets would be fine. The pasta dish would be better thawed or could take a long time to heat through properly.

As long as food is correctly heated through you won't poison the family. Happy cooking and freezing!
