Anyone got a cream cheese topping recipe for carrot cake? Rachel Allen's is too sloppy!

I just want to ice a 2 lb loaf carrot cake and the recipe I have for the topping is really sloppy, I wanted something firmer, more like a Pret carrot cake topping style, any one help me? Thanks!

Just beat icing sugar into cream cheese (twice as much icing sugar to cheese) and add a teaspoon of vanilla essence. Add more icing sugar if it's not firm enough for you.
