Can I make one mahoosive mixture and leave it in the fridge between cooking?

Also, numpty question, (it has been a few years since I've made fairy cakes) how full do I want to fill the cake cases to get a perfectly sized fairy cake for icing? Just using a basic weight the eggs then equal amount of flour, sugar and marg recipe.

I wouldnt refrigerate the mixture but leave it at room temperature.

What is a Diego cake ??

Oh and fill the cases two thirds. I saw a programme where the cook piped into the cases, looked easier than spooning.

Don't have a piping bag, but thanks for the tip. Am used to making muffins where it doesn't matter if the cake spills over the edge.
