Instead of peanut butter and jelly?

A writer friend of mine wants to write about a child eating a classic kids' sarnie. She's from the US so for her peanut butter and jelly is a 'classic.' What's a UK classic? Marmite? Peanut butter and banana?

Any help appreciated!

banana sandwiches are the Queen's favourite.

Thanks so much! Think I'll go with banana seeing as the queen eats it!

Marmite sarnie is classic british children's stuff or what about lemon curd, that was one of my absolute favourites as a child.
