...can I have your best hob-top or microwave recipes please?! DS1 (8) and DS2(22months) eat pretty much anything really, so would love some inspired suggestions otherwise it'll be pasta every single night! Thanks

I hardly ever use the oven

Well, apart from pasta you've got rice, potatoes, couscous etc.

Steak and chips!
Sausages (fry) and mash
Panfried fish eg salmon with mash and steamed veg

Salads

Either a stew or casserole is supposed to be done on the stove top, that's the essential difference between them, I can't remember which way round it is though.

Spag bol and chile con carne are all on top.

Thai chicken with noodles (very mild and tasty with a tin of coconut milk in).

Am thinking, will come back with more....maybe.

Have you got a barbeque?....we cook outdoors pretty much every night over the summer.

Ahhhh, these are all great, thanks - yes we have a bbq - think I just went into a flat panic when I realised I didn't have it - theres actually loads I can do....

Stir fry - small chunks of chicken/pork, add mixture of left over veg (sliced peppers, broccoli, carrot, courgette) add some tinned pineapple and teaspoon of honey and serve with egg noodles
Grilled/fried white fish(toss in seasoned flour) or salmon with new potatoes and veg

What do you normally eat that can be adapted ?
