'Whoopie Pies' can't find the thread I saw on here the other day...

... but made them with DD (5.8) this morning.
Fun to make and looked beautiful but taste-wise, we'll be sticking to cupcakes in future (actually might try making them again in lemon or chocolate first).

Have you tried them and what did you think?

I have made them, twice now and we loved them.

I used this recipe]] I know, it's the DM, but no bile is added, honest!

I fill with plain whipped cream and top with melted chocolate, I've been using Milka Daim. I think the fillings in the recipe would make it too sickly, but then I don't have a sweet tooth.

To sum up, er, I dunno, but we like whoopie pies!

I thought they might be overly sweet but thought they were really bland and a bit fatty tasting. If I try them again will use your recipe and add a flavouring other than vanilla to see if that works better.
