what on earth can you do with them (other than chuck them in the bin - I hate to waste food!)

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

TIA

Could you take them back?

Well actually I normally leave them in the fruit bowl till they turn to mush then angrily toss them in the bin because none of us want them.
However, I'm pretty sure that you could cook them with loads of vanilla sugar or something and they'd be nice with cream or ice cream?

I don't have any but why not try it? Just throw them in a hot pan with sugar and vanilla till they caramelise a bit then serve? Am interested!

onepiece - I suppose I could take them back but tbh I never thought of that as an option as it has happened several times over the years from a range of different supermarkets, grocers etc. Unfortunately you can't try before you buy.

smash09 - that's the sort of idea I was after. Might try it and let you know the outcome!
