Can anyone please advise me what to select for my Chinese Takeway this evening that is reasonably healthy and not swimming in lard? Appreciate it's a treat but am interested to see if I can make an informed choice based on low fat options.

Thanks,

Bloss

i think its all pretty shit tbh
why not cook your own

I think you must avoid the fried rice, and have either boiled rice or noodles.

Obviously avoiding batter is good - something which is mostly stirfried meat & veg is usually the lower calorie option. You might need to ask them about particular dishes though if you haven't tried them before.

I like the chicken & mushroom from ours - it's not much different from a stirfry really.

Prob crispy duck if you take the skin off and just eat the lean bits with the cucumber and spring onions. I can't imagine the pancakes are that bad, and you only need a smidge of plum sauce.

And plain boiled rice.

Something 'dry' without a sauce will be better for you in general. i.e. with indian takeaway chicken tikka is better than a curry.

Steamed fish if it's a restaurant type place rather than a chippy type place.

er...soup?

singapore rice noodles is fairly low in points so must be lower in calories and saturated fat. Otherwise prawn egg fu yung or prawn satay are pretty healthy.

chicken in blackbean sauce with boiled rice is quite low in calories and fat content afaik
