Anyone suggest what to do with cherry tomatoes which are past their best?

I would really like to make a tomato sauce that I can freeze from them but not sure if it would work with cherry tomatoes? Am thinking they have too much skin and not enough flesh if that makes sense?!

Can anyone suggest anything?

Roast them in the oven with olive oil, garlic and salt - yummy!

IT should work. Try roasting them in olive oil with some garlic and then whizzing them up. If the skin bothers you, you can then sieve it, but tbh if it's just for us (no guests) then I don't bother.

Yes, a really really slow roast in a just warm oven. olive oil, salt, pinch of sugar

Roast in oven in oil, herbs and black pepper. Cook ricotta and spinach tortellini, or filed pasta of choice. Add to cooked toms, strew (v Nigella) with diced mozarella and bake again until cheese gooey.

Voila, dinner
