am like an old witch brewing up cauldrons of veg mush for ds3

am doing swedeand carrot and apple and parsnip.

what were your babies faves?

nb.note memory loss from other two!! all i can remembe is the apple and parsnip.!

If you can be bothered, buy a potato ricer (like a big garlic press). Put the cooked potato in, squeeze it through then whip it with a fork - voila! Lovely smooth mash, ideal for babies (and me and most other people I know).

I used to freeze portions in those 1st stage baby jars. As long as you seal them with those old fashioned cellophane disk lids for jam making the jars don't crack.

I can second the potato ricer suggestion - microwave a potato, cut in half, put in cut side down and squeeeeeeze. Fantastic. Probably works well for butternut squash too
