Is there anyway of getting oil/fat out of a bolognese sauce?

I think the mince I used was less lean than my usual.

And also, I included some pancetta at the frying onion/garlic stage.

Anyway, my bolognese sauce now has a rather alarming greasy orangey sheen to it.

Help!

Try floating a slice of bread on top of the sauce then scoop it out.

Can you let it go cold? (Or is it for tonight?)
When cold you can scoop off the fat from the top.

Or dip in a bit of kitchen paper in the grease- bread is best especially if it is sliced !

Let it cool and then scrape it off.

Sliced of bread is now floating (it is for tonight, Thighs). Thank you . I knew someone would know.

Cool it in fridge at an angle (ut something underneath it so fat drains to one side) then oyu can take it out in one go. I wouldn't take it all out thoguh-fat adda flavour.

Boil the mince first and scrape off all the crap from the top then rinse it through

have you got any ice-cubes? Drop a couple in and the fat will set making it easier to remove

was gonna say bread ,but got beaten to it lol
