Substituting oil for butter/margarine

I'm trying to adapt some brownie recipes to include sunflower oil rather than butter/margarine - my kids are dairy intolerant and it's easier and cheaper to add oil than melt their butter substitute.

Does anyone know what the correct proportions should be ie 100g melted butter is equivalent to x oil?

Many thanks!

I posted THIS RECIPE ages ago for egg and dairy free brownies. Maybe you could use this but add a couple of eggs if your dc are ok with eggs

I was told to substitute weight for weight. Yet to try though.

Thanks for the recipe - will try that with the eggs added. And will experiment with the oil thing.

Thanks all
