GOing to do broc & stilton soup and corn muffins.. then nigella's steak slice and white bean mash

not sure, all sounds a bit rich and too full on

but run out of inspiration and have looked at too many recipe books so overfaced myself

no pork or shellfish either!

I think the steak slice and white bean mash sound fab, but a bit heavy after the broccoli and stilton soup which to me.personally, is more of a winter supper dish.

I'm no cookery genius though.

I think you are right.. might ditch the soup, or just make it and freeze it and serve the corn muffins with the steak.

broc is nice now, have that with the meat.

if the steak is from nigella express i like the lamb with olives etc, did a tiny chop for myself yesterday (with broc). lamb is also lovely now - nz.

or can't go wrong with roast chicken with lots of different veg stewed in own juices and garlic bread for laziness.

just do the main and fruit for dessert IMO

you haven't ever made me corn muffins

differentID · 27/03/2010 20:50

a watercress soup might be a lot lighter, if you wanted the 2 courses without dessert?

Lulumaam · 27/03/2010 20:56

i've never made the corn muffins at all

dad bought me a vege cook book and i was flicking thorugh it, it's the third one he's bought me lately, think he is trying to tell me something !!

watercress soup . nice idea. watercress is good with steak too

it is from nigella express, fishie, but i find lamb reall hard to cook, and DH not keen on it.
we had roast chicken last night and soup from the carcss tonight so no more chicken!

thank you though

thanks DiD and ruby x
