spread some chilli paste over it before cooking. Or lie some tinned anchovy fillets over the salmon and cook in a dish with loads of cherry tomatoes - yummy.

BarbaMamma · 10/03/2010 19:27

Wrap in foil with a bit of butter or olive oil, a slice of lemon either side and some fresh basil or tarragon. Cook in oven for 15-20 mins. Serve with a nicely dressed salad (a herby one is good, just add capers, red onion, tomatoes) and new potatoes or rice.

Su... farmed stuff isn't all that great for you- you shouldn't eat it more than twice a year apparently.
What happened to MrSophable going off to the waitrose fishery? Has he been? What did he discover?

You can buy Wild Alaskan Salmon (ie not farmed) from Sainsbury, though it needs to be eaten not frozen as it has already been frozen to ship to UK.

brimfull · 10/03/2010 19:48

excpet some from tescos which tasted like shit

fanjolina · 10/03/2010 19:58

pointylog · 10/03/2010 20:03

well, I'd've got them in sains or tesco, ggirl. I really wanted fancy looking fresh ones because I was trying to impress book club but the frozen ones looked... not so great

CaptainNancy · 10/03/2010 20:06

Fennel... yes- it's odd to eat, but I love fennel tea!

SuSylvester · 10/03/2010 20:08
