For nibbles.....

with 3 meat eaters
1 veggie
1 pregnant woman!

Any ideas for the fillings would be fab.xx

Goats cheese and sunblush tomatoes - good for veggies but not pregnant women or vegans!

Wild mushroom or butternut squash puree, Philadelphia and cured ham, ploughmans (cheddar, tomato and chutney or pickle). Yum, now I'm getting hungry thinking about pastry

Soured cream and caviar (lumpfish is OK, not Beluga). Philadelphia and gerkin. Bacon & egg. Ratatouille. Onion Marmalade and a prune. Diced apple mixed with toffee sauce. Microwave for a few mins first to soften the apple.

mini quiches? (tomato, leek, bacon, mushroom with a sliced mini tomoato on top to look nice)
(would that work even if the pastry is already cooked? I usually cook my pastry before putting the quiche mix in).

You could have custard and strawberries or some cooked apples with sugar and cinammon and put that.

  • Chopped mushrooms sauteed with a bit of butter / cream
  • Any smoked fish mixed with creme fraiche and a dash of lemon juice
  • Cooked chicken mixed with mascarpone and basil (my favourite - yum)
