sweet and spicy chicken thighs

i've just made chicken thighs marinaded in butter milk then dredged in a chilli powder, garlic granules, black pepper and flour. Baked for half an hour. It was lovely but Im craving a sticky sweeter flavour. Was thinking honey, chilli garlic thing next time. Can anyone help? Basically want sticky but spicy chicken thighs for the oven. TIA

Do what you did tonight but take out 10 minutes before end of cooking, drizzle honey or maple syrup and a little apple juice over all the chicken, and pop back in oven.

ah that good. Do you think the buttermilk thing is necessary? Im just not sure what it added to the dish

nah I'd say it's not necessary, although yoghurt acts as a tenderiser on meat I'm not sure buttermilk does and not sure the chicken would have needed tenderising anyway!
