I always think Chinese is probably better for meat-eaters, but I'm craving it!

What's good?

Mmmm....

Tofu (bean curd) is yummy if cooked well. Especially yummy in satay (peanut) sauce. Mouth is watering as I type!
Otherwise ask them to top off any average vege dish with cashew nuts for extra crunch.

Yes Tofu. In black bean sauce yummy yum yum.

Salt & Chilli bean curd
Kung Po Bean Curd
mushroom chow mein
mini veg spring rolls
... mmmmm. Hungry now!

depends if you have a decent chinese near you really.
we have a fantastic one that serves the most delicious vegetarian stuff

plantsitter · 25/02/2010 19:46

Why thank you, Mrs Kitty. Wish I hadn't mentioned it though as I really fancy it now!

Alternatively, choose a sauce you like and ask them to veggiefy it - a good restaurant will be able to do either bean curd or mixed veggies in any sauce you like.

Depends on the restaurant. I've had awful ones - bits of chicken in a veggie dish at two different restaurants! Yuck!! But have now found a great one and love Bean Curd in Szechaun sauce, veggie special fried rice, spring rolls and crispy seaweed (without the grated shrimp on top)! Oooooo I really want some now!

Crispy seaweed...Mmm, although have a sneeky suspicion they always top it with something beefy
