Has anyone got a recipe for parsnip soup that isn't spiced?

I just want a simple but tasty parsnip soup recipe (a friend makes gorgeous parsnip soup but I need the recipe this morning and she's away...how very dare she!) I don't want the curried/spicy sort which seem to be the norm. Any ideas? Thanks

My own recipe is almost not a recipe but tastes so scrummy.

For a good sized couple of portions, peel one large parsnip per person. Then cut into pieces (not too small).

Add a veg stock cube to about a pint of water, add parsnips and chopped onion and some sweetcorn (I just shoved in a few handfuls of frozen corn).

Season with black pepper - no salt.

Bring to boil and simmer until parsnips tender (15/20 mins).

Shove in a blender and whizz, adding a little milk or cream for extra yumminess.

I haven't got a clue why people add curry parsnip soup - then it only tastes of curry!

The same as curried but without the curry. I'm not being a smartarse, honestly! It really is that simple.

Half a cooking apple is lovely in parsnip soup too.

LUCIE- I couldn't agree more about the curry I just can't understand it! Parsnips are so delicious by themselves.

I didn't add an apple this time but I'm going to try that next time.

parsnip and lemon is nice and tangy - just soften onion, bung in coarsely chopped parsnips, add veg stock, season, near the end add zest and juice of one lemon and whizz.
Think carrot and orange but nicer.

2 parsnips and 2 eating apples, stir fried round in a little oil. Add tablespoon runny honey and stir it in. Add stock and simmer til cooked. Blend. Yummy
