We are having a Valentine's eve dinner party and I want to use my heart-shaped individual pastry tins (they were a gift ) so looking for a nice savoury tart type thing for the starter. Would ideally be something we can do in advance and preferably veggie but I can just do one veggie one for DH if necessary. Ta

broccoli, leek and stilton. Just sautee lots of leeks, steam the beroccoli (cut into little florets), add crumbled up stilton and grated cheddar if wanted, pile into cooked pie shell and pop under grill or back in over to brown.

Caramelised onion and pine nuts.

Courgette thinly sliced, with parmesan

Caramelised Red pepper

Spinach and cheese

They all need a cream/egg mix in varying amounts.

Pissaladiere? Yummy Provencal savoury tart with slow cooked onions, olives and anchovies. If he doesn't eat fish you can leave off the anchovies. This is my favourite savoury tart.

Thick tomato sauce, plenty of herbs, little soft goats cheeses and pine nuts. Simple yet delicious. Might do that for tea!

Spinach, sorrel and gruyere shortcrust - with cream/eggs etc

Green pesto spread on base of puff, very slow roasted cherry toms more pesto drizzled over
