Does CRUMBLE mix have to be SR flour?

total and utter novice here, but found a recipe on-line and it says use SR flour. Accept I aint got none, and family home in next hour expecting plum crumble Have got Plain though... any good?

I've always used plain - doesn't rise so shouldn't be a problem

I always use plain too. Not sure why you would want it to rise.

I use plain too. Crumble just stays dry and crumbly so any flour should be ok.
