Any suggestions? Bout 1.5kg lamb and a 3.5l slow cooker.

Total slow cooking novice!

here's a guide for 1.5kg leg of lamb - but obviously you can use your shoulder

here

takes 8 hours - looks gorgeous

that satchet thing they've used - I'd just 'chuck in' abit of rosemary and stock

And so reporting back: man oh man!!

1.5kg rolled shoulder of lamb: browned in the pan with (tiny bit of) salt and pepper.

In slow cooker: peeled halved shallots;rosemary sprigs;peeled cloves of garlic.

Lamb on top.

Poured over 2 tins of chopped tomatoes, half tin of red wine; more rosemary.

Left on high for 8 hours.

Just lovely. Could have thickened sauce s bit bur great with crusty bread.

And with low salt dipped DD pita bread in it...the joy!
