Can I freeze raw potatoe?

Hi all,

As part of my new year's resolution I have decided to do menu planning and try to turn myself into a domestic goddess so that i have more time to do fun staff instead of house chores during weekends!

I am a FT mum and thought that I would buy fresh veg, wash and cut them ready to use and freeze; the idea is 1 bag = 1 soup with all the ingredients and the right amounts ready to cook. Clever I thought but now that i am organising a leek and potatoe soup bag i am not sure i can freeze raw potatoes?

Thank you for your advice on this

not sure re freezing raw potato - I've never tried it.

I'd be inclined to cook the soup, then freeze it cooked - that definitely works.

Thank you PandaG - so nice to see you here. I have not been on here for ages - I used to be Nanou1 ; mind you I say that and you might not even remember me it has been so long! I have been far too shy to even post on the prayer thread |blush]

I feared this answer!
Might just bump this again in case has tried and succeeded!
