What can I do with 3 x tins of mixed beans?

I bought them in the summer, when 3 bean salad sounded appetising. Now it's winter and all I want to eat are big hearty meals like stew and pototato topped pies.

Has anybody got a recipe like this using mixed beans? They are canellini, flageolet and adzuki.

Add them to chilli?

Add to a chicken or beef casserole?

I use mine in a sausage rissotto cassoulet type thingie.

Grill sausages (pref. spicey type ones) and chop into pieces.

Make a rissotto with stock, white wine if you've got and add a tin chopped tomatoes. Add mixed beans, sausages and thyme. Stir all together and sprinkle on parmesan if liked.

Very yummy - quick, cheap and filling. Good with garlic bread.

I also use them in chilli - either beef or lentil.

I like this Bean Goulash - could even add some meat if you want to

I put a tin in sausage or chicken casseroles. It bulks it out a bit so tend to use less meat.

Also if you don't mind vegie food then how about a veggie casserole?
