I don't care what you are having with it but can you send some to me?
Gosh you had me at the mash

definitely a green vegetable - personally I favour something with a bit of crunch, like green beans or mangetout.

IneedacleanerIamalazyslattern · 12/01/2010 17:38

oooh green beans for me please.

yogabird · 12/01/2010 17:50

maybe...two green veg? Do i melt a bit of grated cheese onto the mash?

Might it be a bit dry - what shall I do for juicy-ness? Is that a word?

snack from heaven that I've just invented... crackers, philadelphia cheese spread on them, then pesto, then grated cheese . Is this truly delicious or is it just that I am starving waiting for dh to get home so that we can eat our sausages? (see above)

Go on then how did they taste???
I don't fancy cheese in the mash thanks
No actually the crackers sound lovely...mind you that could be because I am pregnant and EVERY food makes my mouth water at the moment I will be the size of a house soon.

not in the mash, but a gentle sprinkle of grated cheddar, mature and flavoursome, on the top. It offset the sweetness of the parsnips very well. The whole thing was delicious, served with peas, green beans and a red wine jus (well, a slosh of wine whizzed around the sausage pan) Was rather pleased with it
