Have got some frozen salmon fillets and the have to be cooked from frozen. Anyone got a fish pie recipe using salmon? Have a load of potatoes in the cupboard too

You could just grease a casserole dish, fill it with the salmon and whatever veg you have - peas, broccoli, add lemon juice and lots of black pepper, and top with mashed potatoes.

oops, then bake in oven for say 30 mins or so.

I think you would have to cook them from frozen and then flake them into your pie mix.

Will watch with interest as I have some cook from frozen coley fillets and prawns which will need to go in a fish pie.

I mix

Cooked fish
Cooked liquidised leeks
Raw mushrooms

Then top with sweet potato(1/3rd) potato (2/3rds) & cheese

I think it was Delia and her cheating book that started me on cooking it frozen. We lived.

thanks all, think I will cook the salmon first then flake into the pie - knowiing my luck if I did it straight from frozen I'd end up very ill!

Katymac - shouldn't I put in some sort of cheesy sauce? Would be too dry otherwise I think?

I don't use a sauce

Everyone loves it......never thought of a sauce for it
