was going to bung it in with apple juice, one onion cut in half and a spoonful of brown sugar. 8 hours on low????? And probably turing it in between?

don't forget the cat piss.

I thought it had to be pre-seasoned with cat pee and then scrubbed with cleaner (which doesn't completely remove the smell of cat).

and PLEASE don't forget the bicarb.

oooh, never thought of doing it with apple juice! How lovely.
My pal does hers with cider, we did ours in cocacola yesterday on low for 8 hours.
I think that it sounds lush....go for it and let us know how it tastes x

Everytime I do gammon (in coke) in the slow cooker - it falls apart in a stringy fashion - how do I do it so it stays firm and yummy?

bumping for the morning recipe-goddesses.

How is it best to cook gammon to stop it going stringy in a slowcooker? I do it in coke
