Can you buy turkeys outside Xmas?

I know you can get them at Easter but we tried to buy one in January last year and the supermarkets had none. I presume this is just cos there's no demand for them other than at Xmas or Easter. But can I order one from a butcher at any time of year, does anyone know?

Our turkey this year went for SO many meals that it's seeming a fab, cheap way of feeding us all!
