Quick poll ... to wash the cavity of the turkey or not?

What's everyone else doing?

We aren't having a turkey, but the advert on TV says not to wash it.

Apparently if you do wash the cavity,you can end up spreading bacteria from your turkey all over the kitchen.

No, don't wash! Putting water on it, introduced bacteria. Cook it as it is. Anything nasty will be killed during cooking.

Hooray! I loathe washing the turkey!!!

Oh but is it still okay to stuff it this evening if it isn't washed? I just stuff the neck end, not the body.

Agree with all others. Never wash a chicken or turkey.
