Could I use Port,do you think?Otherwise we have Rum,wine of various types,Champagne and Whiskey.
Also, does Bucks Fizz go off?I've unearthed a bottle that has got to be over 5 years old.
Many thanks.

I would suggest port or nothing.

creme de cassis with a blackcurrant or rasperry jelly, brandy, cointeau or grandmarnier with an orange jelly

Thankyou too AlyPaly-sadly we have never bought Grand Marnier ect,we are a bit basic drinkswise.

i would think the bucks fizz will have gone off. I saved a bottle of expensive champagne and when i came to open it,it lookes like sherry and smelled like vinegar.

Oh no Alypaly, that is such a shame.

I cleared out the cupboard under the stairs and found about 5 bottles of champagne, including a bottle of Bolly!God knows where that came from or how old it is-hope it hasn't turned to vinegar.
