...that I can make quickly and easily? I know there are lots out there but ones that are tried and tested would be great. TIA

Cranberry and raspberry juice (you buy it in a carton together), little bit of gin, top up with champagne (or fizzy plonk). Pink and delicious.

parachutes · 23/12/2009 14:17

ok, will go with cassis one and just need one more.....

Oz Clark mixed a little dash of Triple Sec into a bucks fizz on TV the other day, I thought that sounded a bit nice and just pepped up it up a bit.

TinselianAstra · 23/12/2009 14:18

Bucks fizz is just half orange juice half champagne. Is that too boring?

parachutes · 23/12/2009 14:21

No that's brilliant. I was thinking of that one but wondered the same re boring but I will go with those two plus keep the triple sec as an added extra. Thanks a lot x

Jamie O suggested pomegranate juice and champagne as an alternative to bucks fizz 2 years ago when I was pg with DD and it was delicious. I'm pregnant again so bought more pomegranate juice for this year mmmmm
I do love kir royale (champange and cassis). My Dad's best friend always does champagne cocktails on New Year's Day (the one with the brandy and the sugar cube) and I find it too strong but I'm not a brandy fan.

A bit more complicated than you're maybe looking for but it's fab - bombay gin, limoncello and a tiny drop of elderflower cordial, topped up w fizz = lemon breeze

FolornHope · 23/12/2009 15:51

i have never had limoncello
is it nice?

annaje · 23/12/2009 16:19

If you have to ruin champagne by putting something in it , I would make Bellini's - champagne and peach juice

theminniebauble · 23/12/2009 16:22

Waitrose sell a raspberry liqueur that's just like cassis but.... erm... raspberry. That's mighty fine in champagne and makes a bit of a change from kier royale.

If you have any Sloe Gin, just put a small amount in the bottom of the glass and top up with fizz - it is gorgeous (and very alco-frolic )

Made Poinsettia cocktails from Nigella for my girlfriends last night and were fine.

Bottle of fizz
125ml Cointreau
500ml cranberry juice

Like a Bucks fizz but pretty pink and not so acidic. Went down a treat.

parachutes · 24/12/2009 17:01

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I want them all!
