pain au chocolate & bucks fizz

AvadventCalendar · 15/12/2009 22:00

A glass of Bucks Fizz is all, not like a bottle of Baileys or anything! And then nothing till lunchtime.

poinsettydawg · 15/12/2009 22:07

I make scotch pancakes, crispy bacon and maple syrup and a big bowl of fruit salad (melon, orange, mango and grapes)

notamumyetbutoneday · 15/12/2009 22:17

Either bacon bun, crumpets or toasted teacake [northern]. havent decided which this year.

Champagne, croissant, pain au chocolat, fruit and smoked salmon. Eggs for anyone who wants.

Crazy - with the alcohol and cooking thing, Mum and I have the turkey all stuffed and ready for the oven the day before, all the veg peeled and prepped, the stock made for the gravy, cranberry sauce made ahead etc - so there really isn't a huge amount to do on the day itself.

We don't keep quaffing all morning, probably have 2 bottles between 6 adults at breakfast and then nothing more until a drink before dinner at about 1-2pm. Unless we go to friends for a drink! I have been pregnant and BF a 5 month old the last 2 years though so have every intention of getting pleasantly pissed this year

Panettone & coffee

Mimi1977 · 21/12/2009 11:36

Coco Pops - which I've had every christmas morning since I was 10!!! So refined.

MarineIguana · 21/12/2009 11:39

Muffins with jam, panettone or stollen, or choc croissant, depending on what I've remembered to get in.

In the past have made an effort with smoked salmon and scrambled eggs etc but I find no one really fancies them that much... you just want to sit around with coffee and cake.

natapillar · 21/12/2009 11:41

I just have what I have every day, half a bowl of rice krispies(if i am lucky) and a luke warm coffee!

HeffaMerryChristmas · 21/12/2009 11:46

I normally don't bother but I'm doing smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with Bucks Fizz this year for PIL. By the time I'm cooking breakfast I've normally scoffed loads of chocolate from my stocking so I'm not hungry .

Nigella's pear and ginger muffins are yummy for breakfast too so I might make those.
