Anyone made Nigella's christmas bonbons?

They sound lovely and I'm thinking of making them as gifts but just wanted to check if anyone had done them and what you think.

Oh, and did you add the optional icing sugar?

I made them last year and they were both BEAUTIFUl and completely gorgeous. Worth all the faff. I will be making them every year from now on! I can't remember about the icing sugar, I'm afraid.

I just made this year's batch this evening (no icing sugar) and they are soooo pretty! I'd definitely use green glace cherries for the holly leaves though - the angelica is too pale and not nearly as effective.
