Nice Christmas ham recipe please - not Nigella!

Promised my mum I would do the ham this year and looking for a nice recipe. I have nothing against Nigella but did the ham in coke a few years ago and thought it was just ok. Anyone any other tried and tested ideas?

Plonked ours in the slow cooker last year, entirely nude with no added ingredients, flavourings or even liquid. It came out completely lush.
Previously I tended to cook it plain (boil or roast) and then do a final glaze with marmalade and then "glue" thin slices of citrus to it (lime, orange, clementine, kumquat etc.) to the glaze - looks very pretty.

I boil it according to weight with some onion, carrot, bay, parsley stalks and peppercorns then spike it with a few cloves, smother it in brown sugar and Colman's mustard powder and bake it very hot for 20 minutes.

Oh, I soak it overnight first and then replace with fresh water.

I do the same as LaTrucha (you need to take the rind off the ham after boiling then score the fat before putting on the mustard and brown sugar).

I had vague ideas that I did that but couldn't really remember! Thanks Lilymaid.
