Straw poll please! I want to make tiramisu but didn't realise the mascarpone in my fridge was past it's use by date of 28/11, but it seems fine. It was bought about a month ago so a few days over would be ok wouldn't it? Once it's made it will be eaten by end of thursday.

Taste it.

If it isn't growing anything and tastes fine, then use it and don't tell anyone

I wouldn't but I am generally over cautious when it comes to selly/ use by dates. I'd have phantom nausea whether or not I had food poisoning after eating it

Taste it - if it tastes fine then it IS fine

it tastes fine . I'll just make sure I eat the first serving of the tiramisu before anyone else, just to make sure it's ok of course
