he's stuck in traffic and has stopped for fish and chips.

do I have to bake it now it's made or can I stick it in fridge for tomorrow? or should I part-bake it? will uncooked pastry be ok in the fridge?

thanks in advance

I'd cook it and eat the lot but that'll just be me... I think it depends what's in the pie but think best to cook really.

Venison.
Actually maybe I should eat it - he doesn't like game really & would only be eating it to humour me

Sounds delicious... Wish you were making my dinner.

Kathyis12feethighandbites · 01/12/2009 18:59

you'd be very welcome Belledame, I need someone to help eat the pie!

That sounds lovely. I'd help you eat it. We're having pasta and sauce. Sigh...

Kathyis12feethighandbites · 01/12/2009 19:03

It might be terrible. I started a thread the other day about how bad I am at cooking game. Also this is my first go at rough puff pastry.... we'll see.

i would also eat the whole thing.

Confusedfirsttimemum · 01/12/2009 19:04

No matter how wrong it might go, it's still better than pasta and sauce. Wanna trade?

alfiesmadmother · 01/12/2009 19:05

I would cook and eat or eat the leftovers for lunch tomorrow!!

CertainAge · 01/12/2009 19:06

If it can be saved for tomorrow, I would stick it in the fridge and then have beans on toast for supper. Then, next day, no cooking (other than turning on the oven)!

TrillianAstra · 01/12/2009 19:14

Cook it, reheat leftovers for tomorrow if there are any.

TrillianAstra · 01/12/2009 19:15

Or have it tomorrow and make him get fish and chips for everyone...

Kathyis12feethighandbites · 02/12/2009 09:48

Had a portion last night and will reheat the rest tonight. It was really good! Venison nice and tender and pastry distinctly lighter than shortcrust.
