If you've served it from the jar, putting a spoon that was in your DS's mouth back in the jar, you can't even keep it for 48 hours, I don't think. (From what I remember from when we used jars)

The bottle cooler is probably fine, though, assuming no saliva's gone in the jars.

should be alright if they are kept cold enough. Though throughout ds weaning I must have thrown out 10's of jars -either unfinished or not even started. i hated throwing out too -but spose its only 50p or so.
