Can I freeze soup made from veggie stock that has already been frozen before?

I made a huge batch of soup made with vegetable stock that I had frozen after making. I know that normally it's not OK to defrost and then refreeze food, but does this also apply to stock?

Well I am not dead yet. I do this all the time, even with chicken stock.
Because you cook the stock (instead of reheat) it is fine to freeze again.
Same as you can make Spag Bol with frozen mince and then freeze the leftovers

I do it all the time too. As long as you freeze promptly, I think it's fine.

yes it's fine because it;s been cooked again

tis even fine to (eg) use frozen mince to make shepherds' pie, then freeze the finished pie

what you mustn;t do is thaw stuff and refreeze without cooking it.

exactly as ITgirl said

Thanks all. That's a great help.
