Throw the whole lot in, and see how it comes out!

lol Lily - I was sort of thinking of that - but wasn't sure.

I've found recipes for leek, potato and tomato soup, carrot and tomato, and other combinations of some of them, I did a leek potato and carrot soup the other week which was nice, but wasn't sure about throwing the whole lot in

i'd put in all except the tomatoes. i usually put swede, parsnips and celery too (all in chunks, added in order of length of cooking, don't blend or anything). plus i add pearl barley at the beginning and parsley at the end, and any scraps of chicken i have left too. cheese on top to serve. best soup in the world

thing is the tomatoes do really need using up - ad that's all I've got left in terms of veg to go in as I need to do my weekly shop.

I should add - it's be a blended soup - DS2 and 3 currently won't have soup any other way other than made into a "cream of" soup (with lots and lots of homemade bread....which I must go and chuck in the breadmaker in a minute).
