...well, what is on the menu?

I'm coming round to the most tempting one, and bringing the dcs! Don't worry, they eat everything .

That lunch thread made me realise how little is in our fridge even though dh went shopping yesterday!

Red snapper baked with fennel, orange, cumin and coriander

Udon noodles with cucumber in a sesame/orange/miso dressing

braised beef with mushrooms, onions and dumplings with mash potato, mangetout, baby corn and carrots...should be ready in about 20mns and I am starving

Homemade chicken kievs, root veg chips and broccoil and carrots. Followed by apple and blackberry crumble.

Nasty soup - made by me to use up all the vege. It looks revolting, although it seems to taste a bit better than it looks. My own fault for straying away from my usual tried and testeds. Will eat with naan bread or pittas.

Macaroni cheese with bacon and artichoke hearts - it is yuummmeee

Sausage and mash with onion gravy - first time I've made it (honest!) and it was delish!!

pork casserole with olives served with rice cooked by dp. I just made a HUGE pan of American Indian veggie stew ready for a themed drumming night at church tomorrow. There's a few vegetarians going so it'll keep them happy.

red wine as usual and maybe a mince pie

Pizza. Have had a crap day and picking up the phone to order in is all I'm capable of.

(Oh, apart from going to the fridge for a glass of wine )

Pork and veg casserole with sweet potato mash. Twas yummy!

Report back - the nasty soup was actually v nice, after I'd added two spoonsful of chilli to it. The dds both had two big bowls full each.

Just finished pork shnitzel, with salad and special potato salad to use up last of pot of single cream, squidgy lemon and beyond its best coriander. The paprika made it look like potatoes in calamine lotion... but it tasted delicious!

We had bacon sarnies in the end, followed by leftover chocolate tart.

Then I ate lots of chocolate later on watching Karen Carpenter starve herself do death. It was really odd.
