make a cheese sauce, add chopped asparagus and salmon and heat gently until cooked. serve over pasta with grated parmesan and black pepper.

have you got any cream? you could cook the asparagus separately (either steam it or chargrill it which i tihnk is nicer), then poach the salmon in the cream & add the asparagus afterwards. cook pasta, pour sauce over it. well i think that's what i'd do anyway....

toss the pasta with butter, lemon, a tiny bit of cream and the asparagus. Serve with grilled salmon

You can char grill the asparagus and dress it in olive oil and balsamic vinegar, do the same with the salmon, brushed with soy sauce. Serve with noodles or cous cous

blanch the asparagus. put blanched asparagus on a square of foil. put salmon on top of asparagus. put a knob of butter, a squeeze of lemon juice and salt and black pepper on the salmon. fold up the foil into a "parcel" cook at 180C for 20mins. serve with pasta tossed in a little olive oil, parmesan and black pepper.

bk - do I have to blanch asparagus first? wouldn't it cook in the oven with the salmon?

erm, when i have made this i have always blanched... but i suppose you could try it w/o blanching... or alternatively just do the salmon in the parcels and chargrill the asparagus?

sorrry to be completely dim but do I just dunk it in boiling water for couple of mins then (to blanche I mean). I've only ever steamed asparagus
